One of the hens we got from Tractor Supply turned out to be an excellent mother. After she finished sitting and her and the babies jumped out of the nesting box, we moved them to a smaller box away from the other hens. And, we've been watching them grow and mimic their mommy. God's animals are amazing to watch!
The hen calls the chicks when it is time to eat. She lets them eat before she does. And, if something is too big, she breaks it up for them.
She is digging in the dirt, and they mimic her and dig their bottoms in too!
Here they are following mommy!
This cutie just needed to rest!
